The Infinite Train: The Man of Fire
I have seen a lot of similar comments like “Yanzhu is a tearjerker tool man”, “Yanzhu’s characterization is too rigid”, “and Yanzhu’s characters are separated from each other”. I don’t judge right or wrong, everyone can see the Angle is different, but as a person who has seen anime and finished watching the original, the understanding of big brother is not only the movie, so in my opinion, this character is very able to stand up.
From the personal timeline of XingShulang, the first is Yanzhu’s own sense of responsibility. The memory at the end of the film intercuts the dialogue between him and his mother before his death. Then there is his attitude, reflected in his dream interactions with his brother and father when he first became a pillar of inflammation; finally, he shows in the beginning of the film the boundless enthusiasm, responsibility, and cherish everything that happens in life.
Yan Zhu is a very complex character, he is not blind to the cruelty of the reality is full of joy, but it is in his clear view of the reality to change the cruel reality of the difficulties and forge ahead. His mother taught him strength and responsibility before his death, the sense of mission and once his father’s great back drove him to become a “pillar”, but this was only ignored by his father, but even so he was full of enthusiasm, he did not lie to his brother, but to show his brother’s responsibility, so much good in life have left him, so he was grateful, he just forge ahead. He was ashamed that he had been dereliction of duty by blood ghost. He valued the lives of others, saying, “If no one dies here, my duty is done.” But he forgot that there was a person dying here that was himself.
In my opinion, Yan Zhu is a very complete and coherent character. Of course, I cannot deny that this character is indeed a value with a point of quadratic and justice to the reality.
However, I think that as a character, the positive value he conveys is far higher than these shortcomings. During the whole process of watching the movie, he also caused me to think a lot about life, responsibility and morality (these are for you to feel for yourself, I won’t repeat my views). From him, I can see that I am not afraid of pain and not obsessed with the past. The attitude of having high ideals and being willing to work for them, that’s what I got from him, that’s the burning red flame in this character.
He proved himself with his actions and illuminated the people around him. His firm and crisp answer was the true portrayal of his pure heart. His mother said that superior talent was a gift from heaven, so he needed to pay more good deeds to return the hard-won luck. He gave life a broader meaning, is in the light of justice in the face of death.
I will die soon.
I need to finish while I can, so you can listen.
I want you to tell my brother, Chishulang, to follow his own heart; to do what he thinks is right.
Tell my father to take care of himself.
By the way, Omen boy, I believe your sister. I think she’s part of the Ghost squad.
I saw her fighting in the trunk, protecting humanity, fighting ghosts with their lives, and anyone who protects humanity, no matter what they say, is a member of the ghost squad.
Stand up and live!
No matter because of thrives weak and powerless, suffered a big blow, to burn the heart, bite the bullet, and insist on moving forward.
Even if you stopped and hesitated, time would not stop for you or grieve with you.
Don’t blame yourself for me dying here.
I am a pillar, will be willing to be the shield of the younger generation.
We are pillars, who would have made the same choice; never let the ghost pick new shoots.
Boys of the oven gate, boys with pig heads, boys with yellow hair, you should continue to grow, and in the future, you will be the pillars holding up the ghost killing team.
I believe. I believe in you.
Mother,
Am I doing my duty?
Have I done everything I should have done, everything I should have done?
You did a good job.
